The 50 meter long MV Karwela was sunk in August 2006. . She is easily reached from shore starting your dive across flat rocks. She is located just of the coast from Xatt L-Ahmar and started in 1957 as the MS Frisia II, renamed to the Nordpaloma in 1977 before she came to Malta in 1986 to serve as a passenger ferry with a maximum of 800 persons and no cars.

MV Cominoland started as a British Miner in 1942 and became a passenger and car ferry between Gozo and Comino. She could load more than 400 passengers and 10 cars.
